The lowest of the four varna in the traditional Hindu social hierarchy is the Shudras. They are primarily associated with serving the other three varnas—Brahmins (priests and scholars), Kshatriyas (warriors and rulers), and Vaishyas (traders and agriculturists). Historically, Shudras have engaged in various forms of labor and service. This classification has been a subject of significant social and political debate, especially regarding issues of caste and inequality.
