Where is the battery located on the 1983 Yamaha XVZ12?

It is under the false gas tank cover. Open the fuel fill door and remove the single screw holding down the false tank cover. Forward of the fuel fill is the air cleaner box. Forward of that is the battery box. The battery hold-down strap also holds the fuse panel.
