How do you make a best friend on Animal Crossing wild world?

You can't get a soul mate but animals/villagers can fancy you and they will talk about love whenever you talk to them.

While you can't find a "soul mate" in Wild World, you can become good friends with animals by being nice to them, talking with them a lot, and running errands for them.

You can and can not have a "mate" in Animal Crossing Wild World. The can way is that you can have friend from school or your neighborhood and if they have the same game you can connect and meet and play together and you can "love" and blah blah blah. The can't way is that if you have no friends that have Animal Crossing Wild World then they can not connect and have fun with you. The animals will only be your friends and not your "soul mate". Another thing is that if one of the animals have a catchphrase like "hey cutie" or have a cute or cool nickname for you that does not mean they like you it's just a simple nickname and nothing else. Animal Crossing is not really a dating game. The animal's can't date you, but I think if you visit Katrina or something she might put a curse on someone so they will act shy around you for a limited amount of time. If you mean a human you can wi-fi connect with them "and you make love and blah blah blah." as the person above me said, haha
