In Burmese, "Happy New Year" is said as "နှစ်သစ်ပြုနှစ်သစ်" (pronounced: "hnit thit pyu hnit thit"). You can also simply say "နှစ်သစ်ကူးပါ" (pronounced: "hnit thit ku par"). This phrase is commonly used during the traditional Burmese New Year, known as Thingyan.
