Average speed fo college fastpich from home to first?

Well it kind of all depends. It will depend on:

If the pitcher is a control pitcher or power pitcher

If the pitcher is a prospect

What division the school is in

A division I school is going to have power pitchers throwing fastballs at about

86-90 miles per hour, while control pitchers are going to be around 80 miles per hour.

Top prospects that are power pitchers are obviously going to be able to throw quite hard, probably in the mid 90's.

All in all if you can locate a fastball in the high 80's low 90's with good control, then that's pretty extraordinary and you've got some talent.
