Data for a science experiment should be recorded in a data table. There should be a header, which including the, along with column headers. specifically, like "trial number, mass, length, color". The column headers need to relate to what is being observed or measured. If it is a number height, mass, etc, it needs to have a unit inches, pounds, etc. If there are any calculations volume of object, density, etc, that should also be included. Be sure to do at least three trials of each measurement/experiment so you have good data. The more trials, the better up to about ten. Hope that helps!
