The Ocicat originated in the state of Michigan. This breed was developed in the late 1960s by crossing a Siamese, an Abyssinian, and a domestic short-haired cat, resulting in a breed that resembles a wild ocelot but is entirely domestic. The breed was created by breeder Virginia Daly, who aimed to produce a spotted cat with a unique appearance and friendly temperament.
