Why are shrub do shrub turning red falling in the summer?

Some bushes turn bright red in the fall. These shrubs will begin to change color as the weather gets cooler and the days shorter. The chlorophyll leaves their stems and the carotenoid chemical left behind give them a red color that can vary in brilliance.
