A swiffle has two etymologically separate meanings, the first being an infertile adolescent swift frustrated with their existence (hence the ornithologically recognised displays of swiffling), the second being a now obsolete object that was once sticky (e.g. a post-it at the bottom of a pile of post-its that has so much dirt collected that it is no longer of any use to anyone or anything, or aged and over-fingered plasticine in a nursury)
