Where do shops order Pokemon cards from?

Recent Pokemon cards are made by The Pokemon Company, a division of Nintendo and so shops would place an order with either The Pokemon Company or a different company that acts as a distributor and then gets the card delivered in bulk. Prior to 2003, Pokemon cards were created by Wizards of the Coast and would have been sold through Wizards of the Coast.
