This gives the pup all the protein it needs with the binding agent of the starch in the rice. The mix should be about 1 cup of rice to 1/4 cup of ground beef. Feed to breed size and feed at least twice per day. Do not salt or spice this food, it should be as bland as possible so as not to upset the little tummy. Allow for plenty of fresh water to be available at all times as it does not take long for puppies to become dehydrated when they have diarrhea. A vet should be consulted ASAP if this problem continues more than a few days or the puppy becomes weak or lethargic.
