Is it okay to paint a calf's nail?

The problem is that calves don't have nails, they have hooves. Also, they're mostly in the dirt and manure which will quickly ruin the nail polish you intend to put on the calf's hooves. So, unless you're dressing up a calf for some crazy farm animal show where you can dress it up in any costume you like, it wouldn't be considered okay.
