What are laminated kitchen cabinets?

They are cabinets that are covered with laminate\formica on the face , counter tops , doors and drawer fronts and usually have hidden hinges so everything stays sanitary and easy to clean . I have biult and installed laminated cabinets on Hospitals,nursing homes ,clinics etc...
