Long term we see the convection movements of the Earth's molten core moving Our continental Masses; otherwise we see the Heating of the Earth's surface by the Sun making convective Up-Currents [updrafts] that are completely responsible for ALL of the Motions within Our Paper Thin Atmosphere [Low Pressure Systems].

Bonus Note: The Low Pressure System is the active feature of Our Atmosphere - because the High Pressure Systems exist everywhere that a Low does not. Air rises at the center of a Low and re-descends to the surface amidst the much more diffuse boundaries of a High.
