What are the two major steps to protein synthesis?

I really don't know. You will have to go to google or ask.com because they are so much better than answers.com. Answers.com doesn't really give you good answers in my opinion but it might for some people but it just doesn't work for me. From now on i will be on ask.com or google.com.
