What type of fire extinguisher is the best to douse an electrical fire?

These types of extinguisher are often found as BC or ABC-class extinguishers, which work on any of the listed class of fires.

Do NOT use a Class A extinguisher on an energized electrical fire. First turn of the electricity, if that is the only extinguisher you have.
