What are the pros and cons of having a store credit card?

Pros:

- Many stores offer 15-20% off your purchase when you sign up for the card
- Cardholders are also offered discounts that regular shoppers do not have access too
- Some cardholders can get free shipping online


Cons:

- Your credit score can go down if you sign up for another credit card
- High interest rates
- Can only use at one store
- Opening a card just to get the discount and then closing it again will affect your credit score negatively
