What is the plot of the story The Aged Mother?

The Aged Mother is a story written by the Brother's Grimm. It tells the tale of an old woman who is miserable and has watched her friends and relatives pass away. One day she is called to church and to her surprise her dead relations are sitting inside. They show her what life "could" have been like had her sons and loved ones not passed away. After seeing the negative futures, she ends up thanking God for having dealt her a kinder hand than she was able to understand. She was able to pass away in peace as a result of this. The moral of the story is basically that the grass is not always greener on the other side.
