Why is 2 an even prime?

A Prime number is a number that can only be divided equally by 1 and itself. 2 is the only even prime number. All other even numbers can be divided by 2, as well as 1 and themselves, and potentially many other numbers. So apart from 2, no other even number can be a prime number.
