How do you stop cutting trees?

If you are using an axe, drop the axe and STOP CUTTING! But if you are using a chainsaw, turn off the chainsaw, drop it, and eventually you will be able to stop cutting the tree. Basically, don't go near a tree with a sharp object and you'l get your wish :)
