Each clinic will vary depending upon maturing of the individual and the type of work the person will be doing. 14 is an absolute minimum and 16 is preferred for safety reasons. Vet clinics have potentially aggressive animals that may bite, scratch, kick or otherwise attack, radiation on site (X-ray machine), controlled medications (barbituates, opioids, etc.) and numerous potential biological hazards (feces, urine, infectious waste, etc.).
