What is the difference between forward and foreword?

Not only are both of them spelled different, but they mean two different things. Forward means the direction one is facing and to move in that direction. Example: I need to move forward after breaking up with my boyfriend. As a nominalization (noun phrase), most people recognize the term "Forward Passer" in Football which indicates the direction and action of this player.

ForeWord is a short introduction to a book. It can be thought of 'talking before the main speaker, e.g. the author'. A Foreward is typically written by an expert on a topic, while the rest of the book is written by the author.
