COLORADO YOUTH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ACT
TITLE 8, ARTICLE 12, CRS
No minor under the age of fourteen shall be permitted employment in this state except as authorized by sections 8-12-104, 8-12-106, and 8-12-107.

Depending on the particular occupation, the legal working age in Colorado can be as young as 9 years old. There are revisions for ages 9, 12, 14, 15, and 16.
