To properly crosscut on a table saw, follow these steps:
- Set the blade height to slightly higher than the thickness of the wood.
- Use a miter gauge or crosscut sled to guide the wood through the blade.
- Position the wood against the fence and miter gauge/sled securely.
- Turn on the saw and push the wood through the blade with steady pressure.
- Use a push stick to keep your hands a safe distance from the blade.
- Wait for the blade to stop before removing the cut piece.
