Can wolves on Minecraft die of hunger?

Well, wolves like to attack sheep, so if you find a pack of wolves near sheep, they will attack the sheep. Also, you can tame wolves by getting some bones and right clicking the bones on a wolf. It will become your personal dog when it sits and has a red collar on its neck. You can change the color of your dog's collar by obtaining a dye in minecraft and right clicking the dye on the dog. The collar will change to that specified color. Also, you can name your dog. You have to get a name tag, found in dungeon chests, mineshaft chests, and in any other world-generated chests. Right click the name tag on your dog and type in the name you want to name your dog.

Your dog will follow you wherever you go. If you want your dog to stay at your house or somewhere else, right click it and it will sit. Your dog also has health, too. I'm not going in too much detail with dogs.
