Who set up the nike company?

Nike was founded by Phil Knight and his coach, Bill Bowerman, in 1964. Originally established as Blue Ribbon Sports, the company initially operated as a distributor for the Japanese shoemaker Onitsuka Tiger. In 1971, it rebranded as Nike, named after the Greek goddess of victory, and introduced its iconic Swoosh logo. Since then, Nike has evolved into one of the world's leading athletic footwear and apparel brands.
