Why won't my Wii read or spin Wii discs?

hmm sounds like your wii has "dirty lens" my game cube had it my wii is fine the problem is caused when you put a dirty game in or u just cleaned it n didn't dry it good... on old CD players if u touch then lens it wont read CD's i think that's what happed to my game cube if u have xbox live or play station network

play station network tag tmanrok... the best thing to when this happens is one if its under warranty send it off so they put new lens 2 if its not and you don't wanna pay and this is risky open the console and clean them by a sort towel i don't suggest that though pay the 20-40 bucks to get it fixed hope you get it worked out man happy wii playing :)
