What do you mean by modes of communication?

A mode of communication is a method of communication, a way of communicating. You can communicate by voice, by sign language, by mail, by books, by radio broadcast, by TV broadcast, by periodical, by posters on lamp posts, and of course on the internet, as I am doing even now, as I type, among other modes.
