How much oil does a YT3000 craftsman lawn tractor take?

Sears sells you a replacement filter the price of gold exhange, fram sells the same one for 1/4th the cost. Sears tells you the YT3000 takes 48 oz of oil. however it shoes over filled on the dip stick. The operators manul tells you its 56 oz of oil with the filter change. Go figure. I changed the filter, I put in 48 oz, its to full now, the manul says 56 oz. Sears dont have a clue. But I will say this.. the oil sears recommends (Explorer Heavy Duty SAE30) now has my 1 yaer old YT3000 21HSP engine over heating now. Funny, The neighbor has the same tractor. his is smoking all the time.. Sears over sells a scam oil that is not recommeneded for the aircooled lawn tractor, however has no comment when you go to the Lawn and grarden department about the issue.. They just want to sell yuou another bottle of this Explorer Oil. The true answer is this.. Sears leaves you hanging. your on your own.. They made the sale. Commissions have been earned.
