Why does Ogbuefi Ezeudu visit Okonkwo?

Ogbuefi came to tell Okonkwo that the Oracle of the Hills and Caves had pronounced that Ikemefuna must die. He also gave Okonkwo a warning that he was to bear not a hand in Ikemefuna's death.
