Why would Jonas' sister angry during the visit in the giver?

Lily concludes that perhaps she is not angry after all. ... Jonas knows this "with certainty" because, now that he understands what real injustice and cruelty are, he himself has experienced anger and rage, and they are nothing like the "anger" that Lily thinks she felt on the playground.
