What will technology be like 500 years from now?

Probably advanced enough to travel around the solar system very quickly, create cyborgs, clones like in StarWars ep2, and make peoples life longer by 100 yrs. probably more.

A really great question! The Book of Predictions was a book published in 1980, written by David Wallechinsky, Amy Wallace, and Irving Wallace. It was a collection of predictions by great thinkers and is required reading by anyone who wants to study the art of prediction. Even a few years later it was wildly wrong. Most of the authors predicted that the communists would conquer the world by 2000. Get a used copy on Amazon if you can.

Another person to read up on is Ray Kurzweil, who writes about the coming "singularity" about 2025 or so, when computers become conscious.
