What causes a car to overheat on a pt cruiser?

There are several technical service bulletins issued for coolant leaks on the PT cruiser leading to engine overheating. Depends on the year which bulletin would apply. The one I saw mentioned the lower radiator hose rubbing against the fan shroud causing a worn spot that can lead to a heavy leak. PT cruisers don't like the heat. Aluminum engine parts can warp and cause major damage quickly. Towing to the shop is advised.
