How does estrogen maintain homeostasis?

In both women and men you have balance of both estrogen and testosterone. So in case of women testosterone is present in minute quantity and in men estrogen is present in minute quantity. In women estrogen predominance is there. In men testosterone predominance is there. So they work together in both the sexes.
