When did Sarah Jane die?

Sarah-Jane Smith is the character that Elisabeth Sladen played, and was a regular companion alongside Jon Pertwee (The Third Doctor) and Tom Baker (The Fourth Doctor) between 1973 and 1976 before coming back and going alongside David Tennant (The Tenth Doctor) in an episode called 'School Reunion' and appeared alongside him near the end of series 4 in 2008 and a small part at the end of 'The End of Time: Part 2'. She also had her own series on CBBC called 'The Sarah Jane Adventures'.

Unfortunately, Elisabeth sadly passed away on the 19th April 2011 due to cancer at the age of 63, which she had been suffering from for a long time. She leaves behind her husband, Brian Miller, and a daughter, Sadie Miller.
