Fuel breaks down in time, usually 3 months is all it takes, parts of it will gel and clog openings needed to run the car.

If it is carbureted you'll need to clean it out, if injected, it is possible that the bad fuel has fouled the plugs, or is clogging the injectors.

open the valve on the fuel rail and run the pump until you get clean fuel, dry out or replace the spark plugs and try again.
