No matter what your selling B2B you'll need an opening statement, a value statement, and maybe some name dropping. Look up cold calling techniques and you'll get a better understanding.

Here's an example in your industry...

Hi Prospect this is (your name) over at (your company). We're an independent stocking distributor of (ic's, etc...) and we've helped companies like Boeing, Ratheon, L3 (name some of their competitors) save thousands of dollars per year in there electronic procurement efforts. I'd like to ask you just a few quick questions to make sure that we can definitely help you like we have (the competitors names) ...this way I'm certain that were are a right fit before trying to earn your business. If I feel that you can benefit from our services like the Boeings and the Ratheons, I'll then start the process of helping you and becoming an extension of your procurement efforts.

I do this with all prospects so that it doesnt waste their time or mine, and so that I'm not just blindly telling somebody I can help them or there company without truthfully knowing. You have a brief moment available right?

(ASK ALL QUALIFYING QUESTIONS)

And let me ask you (Prospect Name) so that I understand your company better,

(after asking questions, go for a part number, ask for email, explain products or services, share stories about competitors you've helped, build rapport (chat), ask more questions that may help you leverage the relationship like how did you get into buying, who else there at XYZ Corp. buys electronics that I could help etc.

It's just the basics
