for every mile you run you burn around 100 so the faster you run, the quicker you burn 500 calories. Also, if you run faster, it will probably be around 120 or 130 per mile. So I would do a full out run (not jogging, not sprinting) and towards the end of your run, do a burst of sprints in between jogs.
