they are considered pest control. They eat a lot of bugs such as house flies, horse flies, and mosquitoes. Some turn into pests themselves like cane toads. They cant be eaten due to extremly posionous skin so they are overpopulated and eat things like mice, fish, and small birds (and lots of them).

In other areas (Amazon) a posion dart frog can harmlessly be used to put posion on tribesmen's spear for hunting large game.

Other areas they are delicate cusines like France and Canada with the buttered frog legs.
