How do you change the timing belt on a Renault Clio 1400i 2001?

The same way you change it on any other cars dip-stick! was the first answer but not a well educated one.

Renault use a no-key design for the lower (crank) gear, but u prob know that, that's why u r here. just mark everything carefully and lock the crank by jamming the ring-gear, there is an opening for u 2 access it already. if u r good it will work, mine did and still does
