Who were men of prayer who probably lived the most comfortable lives of the middle ages?

First of all there is the pope who lived in extreme comfort, followed by the bishops and cardinals. The higher up the hierarchy you were, the more comfort you lived in and the more power you had. Common priests often lived as well as the people attending mass. Monks lived similarly.
