How can you do a domain name registration?

First find a domain name registration site, as there are hundreds. I cannot list any here but try and find one that does not cost anything. If the site is charging to simply to check then it is bad for sure. If it lets you check then charges a small fee it may be legitimate but I would check the bottom of the page for a copywrite logo or some form of verification that it is a legit site.
