How are the Appalachians different from the Rocky Mountainsntains?

The Appalachians are older and lower in elevation compared to the Rocky Mountains. The Rocky Mountains are taller and more rugged, with higher peaks and more extensive glaciers and alpine ecosystems. Additionally, the Rocky Mountains are located in the western part of North America, while the Appalachians stretch along the eastern part of the United States.
