Who pronounced Jesus's death?

Jesus's death was pronounced by Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea, after he presided over the trial and found Jesus guilty of blasphemy and claiming to be the King of the Jews. Despite finding no fault in him, Pilate ultimately succumbed to the pressure of the crowd demanding crucifixion. This decision led to Jesus being sentenced to death by crucifixion.
