Can you get pregnant on your periord?

You can't get pregnant during your period, but you can get pregnant as a result of sex on your period. There is no egg present during menstruation, however if you have a short menstrual cycle it is possible to have fertile quality cervical mucus present during menstruation, this could keep sperm alive for up to 7 days...by which time you may ovulate, thus fall pregnant.

Basically unless you want to get pregnant ALWAYS use birth control.
