Get Yourself Prepared

Before you can enjoy twenty to thirty minutes in your mock steam shower, you need to prepare yourself. Make sure you have plenty of thick towels, a washcloth, masking tape, and an aluminium bucket full of ice. Once you have all of this you can begin using the towels and masking tape to cover up the frame of any Windows in your bathroom. You need to make sure that every crack is covered. This makes sure that no air will come in and the air in your bathroom will not go out. Next, you need to cover the cracks of your door. You can place a thick towel at the bottom of the door and use masking tape to make sure it stays. You can also use masking tape to cover the edges of your bathroom door.

Add Water

Begin your makeshift steam shower by turning on your bathroom sink. Make sure that the water is as hot as it can go. You can light scented candles as well if you think that this will add to your relaxation. Next, you will need to turn on your shower water. Make sure that the showerhead is pointed downward. This ensures that the scalding water will not hit you once you have turned it on. Make sure that the shower door or the shower curtains are left open. This allows the steam to fill your bathroom faster.

Add Ice

As mentioned before, your steam shower will not be complete unless you have an aluminium bucket that is full of ice. It does not matter if you have crushed ice or cubed ice. Put your washcloth in the bucket. Put the bucket beside the shower.

Relax

Once you have prepared your steam bathroom, you can sit down and relax. You can sit on your toilet, bathroom floor, or even in the shower if the water does not hit you. Make sure that your washcloth is wet. You can rub this cold washcloth on your face, neck, and the rest of your body. This does more than just invigorate your senses. This will create more steam. The masking tape will not last more than thirty minutes. This is because you have exposed it to heat and steam.
