What would you need in case of a plane crash in the Canadian wilderness?

The most important thing is to "stay with the crashed plane!" A crashed plane is easier for searchers to see from the air than a solitary person trying to walk out to safety. Use whatever you can in and around the plane. Make sure it is visible from the air. You should have left a flight plan and an ATE (Estimated Time of Arrive) with a responsible person(s). Most standard survival tips will apply. Fishing in a nearby lake - provided you have basic fishing gear, of course. Dead-trapping small game is also possible.
