a bird wing creates lift by bending and flexing and creating lift by shaping the wing so the air moves over the top faster than the bottom which lowers the pressure on the top and hence "lift". An airplane does the same thing but doesn't flex the wing as a bird does. They do change the shape using flaps and slats and changing the attack angle to the wind as in supersonic aircraft.
