you put in the cost of ingredients and add a little more for profit.

lets say, you want to decide the cost for a hamburger.

FOR EXAMPLE:

if you use 45 cents worth of meat,

30 cents worth of cheese

25 cents worth of bread

and 50 cents of everything else.

so the ingredients cost $1.50 to make the burger.

if you include profit money add another $2.50

if you're a sell out restaurant you add $7.75.
