Why did the Constitutional Congress decide to create three branches of your government?

They wanted to make no one person or branch had all the power. The revolution was against the abuse of power by a king and they wanted to prevent one person with all the power or who tried to say they had all the answers. Each branch has limited powers and must depend on the other to pass bills, approve various people for offices and judgeships.
